The story follows a young boy named Bastian Balthazar Bux, who discovers a mysterious book titled "The Neverending Story" in a dusty old bookstore. As Bastian reads the book, he is transported to the world of Fantasia, where he meets a majestic creature called Atreyu, a young warrior on a quest to save the world from destruction.
