Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is a free-to-play, third-person shooter video game developed by PopCap Games and published by Electronic Arts (EA). The game was released on January 23, 2014, for PC, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, with later releases for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita. The game is a spin-off of the popular Plants vs. Zombies franchise, which originated as a tower defense game.
