Maya rushed to Helix A6, only to find her father and several others dead. Kaltos was loose in the facility, wreaking havoc. In a desperate bid to contain the entity and protect the rest of Mars' population, Maya's father had rigged a device to create a pocket dimension—a form of house arrest for Kaltos. Maya found herself captured by UEG forces, accused of her father's murder. As she was being transported to a holding cell, she was intercepted by an unknown group claiming to represent a faction within the UEG interested in her unique lineage and potential knowledge.
