The film begins with a dramatic plane crash in the heart of the jungle. The survivors, including a young couple, Alex (played by Timothée Chalamet) and Samantha (played by Emma Watson), a former soldier, Jack (played by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson), and a doctor, Lisa (played by Cate Blanchett), must band together to survive.
