Born on July 24, 1975, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Meena began her acting career as a child artist in the 1980s. She made her debut in the Tamil film "Nerathu Ya Nikkah" (1987) and went on to appear in several other films as a child artist. Her breakthrough role came in 1990 with the Tamil film "Pudhu Vasantham," where she played a lead role alongside Vijay.
