Ball's most iconic achievement, however, was her appearance as a trans angel on a series of postcards and prints. These images, which featured Ball in a winged, haloed pose, were a playful subversion of traditional angelic iconography. By reclaiming the symbol of the angel, Ball and her collaborators challenged the notion that trans individuals were somehow less than human.
