The movie takes place a year after the events of the first film, where Dracula and Mavis are getting married. However, their happiness is short-lived as Mavis starts to exhibit some vampire-like behavior, and they soon discover that she is pregnant with a half-human, half-vampire child. The family embarks on a journey to find a way to stop the child's growth and to understand what it means to be a mixed-blood creature.
